Cassini’s Division – Listen to them!!

Tonight, I was at “The Basement”, a lounge in Landsdowne, Kolkata and I heard an alternative rock band perform a live show.

These guys from Kolkata call themselves “Cassini’s Division” (CD). These guys play only original stuff, compilations, lyrics and all. Generally, I am not a big fan of local rock bands, but this case was a big exception and I was all ears to their brilliant musical composition.

While I was at the music lounge, I was told by my friend and and ardent CD fan that these guys draw inspirations for their songs from true life incidents, either in their lives or in the lives of the people of India.

These guys release their first album in Nov 2010. Watch out for it! Till then, you can check out the band and their songs on their website (http://www.cassinisdivision.com/).

P.S. I didn’t carry my camera to the music lounge and hence have no pictures or videos to show.
