Bird Photography: Lappet-faced Vulture
Seeing vultures in the wild is such a rare sight these days. We all know how their numbers have dwindled rapidly in the last decade or so. In India, more than 98% of vultures have disappeared and in Africa too, their numbers have dropped, but thankfully not so much.
I was happy to see vultures in Kenya in good healthy numbers. After all, they are an indication of the health of the ecosystem around us. In this case, I saw this lappet-faced vulture, Africa’s largest vulture, at Maasai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya.
