Monk at World Peace Pagoda, Pokhara, Nepal

The World Peace Pagoda is one of Pokhara’s iconic landmarks. Perched on a hill and overlooking Pokhara city, it offers one of the best views of Pokhara city and also of the snow capped Himalayan mountains on a clear day. One can either trek up to this monument or take a circuitous route by motorcycle, car or bus.

A monk at World Peace Pagoda, Pokhara, Nepal
On my recent trip to Pokhara, I visited this peace pagoda twice. On one day, it was all rainy, cloudy and misty. On the other day, there was nice bright sunshine, but it was still cloudy in the distance. I saw this monk on the brighter day and was very surprised to see him dressed in all white and wearing a paddy field hat. The white walls of the peace pagoda just adds a feeling of white into the frame.

  1. Hong Kong is definitely worth visiting. Whether short trip or long, it doesn't matter. You have lots to do in HK.

And there is no visa, so there is absolutely no point in sitting at the airport.

  2. No need for hotel booking. if they ask, you can show your flight tickets and money.

Yet there is another remarkable place familiarly referred as BAL Vatika which is liked by many kids for its natural scenic beauty. Gujarat tours and travels describe beauty of Gujarat. Gujarat is the city of glory and dignity which has experienced both the tastes of prosperity and cruelty.

  21. Ideally, it should be open, but you need not visit Rohtang for Spiti valley. You can go via Shimla, Recong Peo, Kaza and Tabo and back.

  26. Hi,
    It was a great read.
I need a bit of suggestion from you.
I am planning to go to Leh-laddakh with Bike.
I have personal bike- Honda CB Trigger-150cc-Front Disc(15 months old).
I am in confusion if i should take this bike or not. I might have an option to take Bullet on rent too. But it will be hard for me to spent so much on rent.

Please suggest, and also share some tips/modifications I should do in my bike before going to Leh Laddakh

    thanks in advance.

  28. Both bikes will run easily in ladakh. Regarding modifications, the only thing you need to do after you reach Manali is loosen or remove the air screw. Thats all.
