Alexandrine Parakeets from Kaziranga National Park, Assam, India

It was quite an interesting experience for me when I saw a huge group of Alexandrine Parakeets enjoying the fruits of the BER Tree (Ziziphus Mauritiana) while I was on a jeep safari in the Kaziranga National Park in Assam, India.

They seemed to be relishing the raw BER fruits as the cracking sound (of the BER fruit) seemed to be heard everywhere. In between, one could also hear their sharp screeches. This event also gave me a good opportunity to admire this beautiful species.
