Home Made Chocolates from Ooty

If you happen to be holidaying at Ooty, the Queen of hill stations in the Nilgiris, then do remember to pick up the home made chocolates that is extremely famous here.

There are quite a few shops that promise you the taste of Ooty’s home made chocolates, but if you want to savour the authentic stuff, then do drop by King Star, the folks who started the home made chocolates business here in Ooty.

King Star is located on Commercial road that is situated close to the Charing Cross, the bustling heart of this hill station. There are quite a few shops that have the King Star brand and all these shops are managed by the same family.

King Star has a great assortment of home made chocolates that include rum n raisin, fruit n nut, roasted almonds, fig n honey, milk chocolate, coffee chocolate, dark chocolate varieties, sugar free varieties and others. They also stack a great set of fudges that include chocolate, pista, almond and others. The chocolate prices vary from 350 to 500 rupees per kilogram for the normal chocolate varieties and range from 750 to 850 rupees for the sugar free varieties.

So remember to taste these yummy chocolates when you are next in Ooty.
