Colourful Plants from Coorg

When you are in Coorg, you not only notice the tall tropical trees and the sprawling coffee estates, but also the plants and flowers that add a dash of colour to the otherwise green surroundings.

Here are some colourful plants that I noticed during my recent trip to Kodagu land, India’s tropical hotspot.

I do not know their names and hence would appreciate if anyone who knew their names could share that information with me.

The plant that really caught my attention was the one with red leaves. From a distance, these red leaves look like flowers and their yellow buds look liked the insides of a flower.

These plants with red leaves could be seen mushrooming literally everywhere and were such a pleasant sight to the eye, but so were the others.
