The touristy James Bond Island

Do you remember the James Bond Flick, The Man with the Golden Gun? Well, most of the movie was shot in the Phang Nga Bay in Thailand and especially around the Ko Tapu island in the Phang Nga Bay. The place is really beautiful, but because of the association of James Bond with it, the place is extremely touristy.

Extremely touristy James Bond Island at Phang Nga Bay
The place is so popular that it is not known as Ko Tapu any more, but James Bond Island and this is how even the travel agents refer to it. Sometimes, people refer to this place as the nail island as the limestone karst looks like a nail jutting out of the water. The place is beautiful with its 2 beaches, intricate system of caves and some fantastic boulders that lean against each other. But, its beauty is less when compared to the overall Phang Nga Bay experience.

Since this place is extremely popular with tourists, a lot of shops sell all kinds of stuff that range from food items to all kinds of curios and gift items. This is one place you have to see if you visit Thailand, but ensure that you go with a small group and also at a time when tourist inflow is lesser else you are bound to see a tourist mob on this island.
